CLND

CLND is the native ERC-20 token used for utility and governance within Colend.

The CLND token is designed to drive engagement, reward participation, and incentivize borrowing. This advanced tokenomics model supports a secure and stable protocol while promoting the growth and long-term health of the Colend ecosystem.

Token distribution

The total supply of 100 million CLND tokens is allocated as follows :

Token vesting

For the team and strategic partners

A one-year cliff period, during which no tokens are released, is followed by a gradual vesting over two years. This approach ensures that long-term contributions are rewarded in alignment with the protocol’s objectives.

For the community and reserve allocations

A gradual token release over three years, with no cliff period, designed to support continuous ecosystem growth and incentivize adoption.

Converting CLND into xCLND

When your CLND is converted into xCLND, you gain the ability to participate in governance by voting to lower the borrowing cost of a specific pool and earn additional rewards. The reduction of circulating supply aligns user incentives with Colend’s long-term goals while increasing the token’s value over time.

Borrow to earn more

To reward early participation and liquidity provision, 14 million CLND (14% of the total supply) are allocated to community growth. The majority of these tokens will be distributed to users who borrow assets on Colend.
